The Intergenerational Schools Boards met on January 28 for a Special Meeting to discuss and decide a way forward. The School Boards voted unanimously to re-open for limited capacity in-person learning beginning Monday, February 22.

At Lakeshore, students receiving special education services will return on Tuesday, February 16 and all other students will return on February 22.

There were a lot of factors considered in this difficult decision, including the new recommendation from the Cuyahoga County Board of Health.

Families have the option to remain learning remote through the end of the school year.

Next Steps

We will be holding a Family Town Hall on Monday, February 1 from 6 - 7pm to discuss any new updates to our safety protocols, as well as to hear from our MetroHealth School-Based Program Physician, Dr. Vanessa Maier. She will be available to answer any questions families have about staying safe, and will present recently published research on COVID and schools.

A survey will be sent out for families' to determine if their child(ren) will return to the school building for limited in-person learning or remain remote through the end of the school year.
