Meet Mr. Wong
To kick off our Staff Spotlight Series, we want to introduce one of the newest members of Near West Community, Nelson Wong! Mr. Wong joined the Refining Stage team this year teaching math and science. Mr. Wong is a recent 2020 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.
What drew you to working in education?
The impact that you can make, especially in the earlier grades.

I live in an apartment with another elementary teacher!
What else do you want people to know about you?
This is my first-year teaching, and I am so excited to meet our school community members!
