Meet Ms. Miano

Anne Miano has been teaching at Lakeshore for the past six years after graduating from Ursuline College! Ms. Miano is an Intervention Specialist.

What drew you to working education?

The dream of guiding students to be their best selves drew me to teaching.

What else do you want people to know about you?

In my extra time, I teach creative writing with Lake Erie Ink: A writing space for youth!

Meet Ms. Parker

Dinah Parker has been teaching for 14 years, spending four of those years at Near West. Ms. Parker attended Kent State University for her undergraduate degree and Cleveland State University for her graduate degree! Ms. Parker is a Title 1 and ELL Teacher at Near West.

What drew you to working in education?

I was a shy child, but felt comfortable and supported at school, and wanted to provide the sense of belonging and support for students.

What makes our school special?

Near West has a very special sense of community that is supportive and caring. It is easy to see and feel in the building, but reaches far beyond.

I own a kayak and love kayaking!

Meet Ms. Hodges

After graduating from Howard University, Breanna Hodges joined the TIS-East community! This is her second year at TIS-East teaching Refining Stage Math and Science!

What drew you to working in education?

I believe quality education should be given to all students regardless of their environment. I wanted to be a resource (educator) that could give students that right and help them see what they are truly capable of.

What makes our school special?

I love the supportive staff and working environment. We are a great team that works together to provide a positive and impactful educational experience for our students.
