From teachers to front office staff to administrators, the roles vary, but the mission is the same. To recognize our team members, we will begin a Staff Spotlight Series! Every week, we will be spotlighting a staff member at each Intergenerational School!

Meet Ms. Montefiori

Lana Montefiori graduated from John Carroll University and taught for one year before joining the TIS-East family two years ago! Ms. Montefiori is an Intervention Specialist.

What drew you to working in education?

I always knew I had a passion for working with children, but the desire to teach came after I got involved in a learn-to-swim toddler program at John Carroll University. I loved working on targeted skills and watching each child progress at his or her own pace.

What is your favorite thing about our school?

My favorite thing about TIS-East is that we truly believe everyone is a lifelong learner. We are never done learning and to instill that in students at a young age makes the desire to learn come from within!

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

I love to go on bike rides around my neighborhood and teach my puppy new tricks.
