Meet Ms. Gascoigne

Lela Gascoigne taught Primary Cluster for 3 years at Lakeshore before moving to Refining Stage ELA this year! Ms. Gascoigne graduated with her bachelor's degree from Hamilton College and master's degree from John Carroll University.

What drew you to working education?

I love to read! I wanted to teach kids to read and to be excited about reading from an early age.

What is your favorite thing about our school?

The community!

Meet Mr. Manthey

Nathan Manthey taught for three years before joining the Near West team this year. Mr. Manthey graduated from Cleveland Institute of Art and teaches Art!

What drew you to working education?

I loved art as a kid, and I like seeing kids be proud of their work!

What is your favorite thing about our school?

The students are amazing! The staff and parents have been so welcoming and supportive.

I love my dogs, woodworking, basketball and clothes. I'm about to get married, too!

Meet Ms. Koch

Laney Koch has been teaching at TIS-East for two years after graduating from Ohio University. Ms. Koch is an Intervention Specialist!

What drew you to working education?

The students! Being around amazing young people and learning from them is such a gift! They remind me that we never stop learning!

What is your favorite thing about our school?

The close knit community of students, families and staff.
