Staff Spotlight Series: Week 23

From teachers to front office staff to administrators, the roles vary, but the mission is the same. To recognize our team members, we will begin a Staff Spotlight Series! Every week, we will be spotlighting a staff member at each Intergenerational School!
Meet Ms. Caryn
Caryn joined the Lakeshore team 3 years ago as a paraprofessional. She is a graduate of Kent State University.
What drew you to working education?
I had a summer job working at an alternative school. After that, I just knew I wanted to work with kids.
What is your favorite thing about our school?
I enjoy the small community feel.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
My spouse and I adopted a dog during quarantine. We have had her for almost a year! Also, I have been playing softball since I was 4 years old.
Meet Mrs. Fucile
Theresa has taught Primary Cluster at Near West for 4 years. Before joining Near West, she taught preschool for 8 years. Ms. Fucile graduated from Bowling Green State University.
What drew you to working education?
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I had a few really great teachers in elementary and high school that cared and made a difference.
What is your favorite thing about our school?
Near West is like a family. Everyone is always willing to go the extra mile to help get things done.
