Staff Spotlight Series: Week 8

From teachers to front office staff to administrators, the roles vary, but the mission is the same. To recognize our team members, we will begin a Staff Spotlight Series! Every week, we will be spotlighting a staff member at each Intergenerational School!
Meet Ms. Evert
Ryann Evert has taught for seven years after graduating at Kent State University. Ms. Evert taught for three years at The Intergenerational School, and has taught for the past four years at Lakeshore. Ms. Evert currently teaches Applying Stage ELA.
What drew you to working education?
It's all about the children!
What makes our school special?
What makes Lakeshore special is our close community!
Meet Ms. Onda
Lauren Onda joined the Near West Intergenerational School team six years ago after graduating from Bowling Green State University. Ms. Onda teaches Developing Stage at Near West
What drew you to working in education?
What makes our school special?
My favorite thing about Near West is the community. The staff, students and families - we are a family! I couldn't imagine teaching anywhere else!
What is something we may not know about you?
I got married this summer, and I just bought my first house!
Meet Mr. Foerst
After graduating from The College of Wooster, Josh Foerst joined the TIS-East community. This is his second year at TIS-East teaching Applying Stage Math and Science!
What drew you to working in education?
I wanted to have a positive effect on children's lives. Our society doesn't acknowledge children and their voices enough. I want to uplift those voices!
What makes our school special?
Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
I played the saxophone for 12 years. I'm currently trying to get back into it! It's expensive!
What else do you want people to know about you?
I love tabletop games (board and card games) and consider myself an amateur Rock 'n' Roll historian. If you ever want to talk about Settlers of Catan's latest expansion or Tom Petty's influence on punk music, I'm your guy. Also, I LOVE football.
